- STEP 3: DEPLOY
Our mission is to empower you by eliminating the technical challenges of cloud hosting while drastically reducing costs compared to traditional dedicated cloud hosting solutions.
We begin by creating your dedicated web server on Google Cloud Platform. Then, we back up your existing WordPress website and migrate it seamlessly to your new server.
All of this is available for a one-time setup fee of $300. After setup, you pay Google directly for your server cost on a monthly basis. Plus, Google provides a $300 credit, which can cover approximately 18 months of hosting costs (assuming a monthly server cost of $16).
We also set up and configure a perpetual SSL certificate for each WordPress website we migrate—completely free. As long as your site remains hosted on Google Cloud Platform, you’ll never pay for an SSL certificate again.
Say goodbye to slow, outdated hosting and overpriced cloud services. Host your website on Google Cloud to enhance your performance, cut costs, and boost your SEO—impressing the very company that sets the standard for online success.

A web server is a computer, just like mine or yours. The difference is that a web server is usually a lot more powerful, it’s always connected to the Internet and it’s primary job in life is to do one thing and one thing only – to show your web site to visitors
There are several types of web hosting, each with its own advantages and disadvantages:
- Shared Hosting: A hosting setup where multiple websites share a single server’s resources. Cost-effective, easy to manage, good for small websites. Limited resources, can be slow during high traffic, less control over server configuration.
- Virtual Private Server (VPS) Hosting: A hosting solution where a physical server is divided into multiple virtual servers, each with its own dedicated resources. More control, better performance than shared hosting, scalable. More expensive than shared hosting, requires more technical knowledge.
- Traditional Dedicated Hosting: Also known as dedicated hosting, it provides a physical server dedicated solely to one client’s website. Full control, high performance, no sharing of resources. High cost, requires technical expertise to manage, less flexibility compared to cloud hosting.
At the end of the day, your choice of web hosting environment should never be based on price in addition to these 3 important factors…
- Speed
- Reliability
- Scalability
Google has many algorithms and heuristics which determine who gets ranked at the top of a Google search result. Three of these very important factors are:
- How fast your web server responds thus how fast your web site loads
- If your website is what “Google” deems as mobile friendly
- Whether or not your website has an SSL certificate
Start by getting hosted with the fastest network on Earth – Google Cloud and allow us to setup and configure your own dedicated web server alongside Google.
During the kick-off onboarding, the CloudHostingSetup technical team will schedule a meeting to understand your specific hosting requirements. The default server configuration includes 1 CPU, 4GB of RAM, and 20GB of storage, which is sufficient for most standard websites. However, if your website has higher traffic, larger storage needs, or specific performance requirements, we can adjust the configuration accordingly to ensure your server is optimized for your needs. This tailored approach ensures that your hosting environment is both cost-effective and capable of handling your site's demands.

Yes. There is no difference to how you currently access your WordPress Dashboard. It doesn't matter if your WordPress website is hosted on a shared web server or if you have your own dedicated web server hosted by Google, all WordPress Dashboards are accessed the same way.
No. Unlike other WordPress Cloud Hosting Providers, you will have complete control over your dedicated web server, with no restrictions or limitations on installing or using any WordPress Plugins.
The reason many if not all other Cloud Hosting Providers prohibit some WordPress plugins, is because they host the majority of their customers on a "Shared Web Server" hosting Environment. This in itself defeats the entire reason for being hosted on the Cloud.
In contrast, having your own "Dedicated Web Server" means you're not sharing resources with other server tenants , giving you full control over the server. This allows you to install any plugins you want, without restrictions, while also ensuring faster speeds since you're not affected by the demands or traffic from other users.
Yes and no—it depends on several factors.
Hosting your website on Google Cloud Platform with a dedicated web server ensures top-tier speed, scalability, and reliability. Faster response times can positively impact your SEO, but search rankings also depend on content quality, mobile responsiveness, browser cache leveraging, and having an SSL certificate.
To ensure your WordPress theme doesn’t hinder SEO, choose one that is lightweight, fast-loading, and mobile-responsive. Look for themes with built-in SEO features like schema markup, clean code, and customizable meta tags. Prioritize regularly updated themes from reputable developers to ensure compatibility with the latest WordPress standards. Avoid overly bloated themes or those dependent on resource-heavy page builders. Features like AMP compatibility, lazy loading, and performance optimization are also valuable for enhancing SEO.
Leverage tools like Google PageSpeed Insights to optimize your site's performance and align it with Google's algorithms. Remember, being easily found in Google search results is critical for your online success.
In summary, improve your SEO by:
- Hosting on Google Cloud Platform.
- Using lightweight and fast-loading themes.
- Ensuring mobile-friendliness.
- Securing your site with an SSL certificate.
While Google won’t officially confirm hosting on their network boosts rankings, the combination of speed and optimization makes it a smart choice.

Yes. Our pre-configured dedicated servers are robust enough to handle multiple websites right from the start. Many of our customers take advantage of this by hosting several websites on their dedicated server, making it one of the key benefits of using CloudHostingSetup. Each site operates independently with its own WordPress Admin Dashboard, all while being hosted securely on your dedicated server.
The real advantage of Google Cloud Platform lies in its scalability. If your traffic spikes during promotions or periods of increased visitors, you can upgrade to a faster server configuration instantly with just a click, adjusting your monthly costs as needed. Once traffic levels return to normal, downgrading to a more cost-effective configuration is just as simple.
With Google Cloud Platform, you’re always in control, benefiting from unmatched flexibility, transparency, and cost efficiency designed to meet your unique hosting needs.
Yes. As part of Google Cloud Platform, you can access Google Cloud DNS directly through your platform console. We highly recommend using Google Cloud DNS because it’s free and offers superior reliability compared to other DNS service providers.
Managing DNS records, such as A Records, CNAME Records, and MX Records, is straightforward with Google Cloud DNS. During your WordPress migration, our technical team will guide you through the process of transferring your current DNS records seamlessly to Google’s system.
Alternatively, you can also consider using Cloudflare for DNS management. Cloudflare provides additional features like built-in DDoS protection, performance optimization, and analytics, making it a robust choice for those who want extra security and performance benefits. Both options integrate well with WordPress and offer reliable solutions for DNS management.
Yes. Google allows SFTP access to your web server. During the CloudHostingSetup process, both public and private keys will be generated and provided to you for future use.
This allows you to easily drag and drop files between your web server and your computer. SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) ensures secure file transfers. However, you’ll rarely need to use SFTP, as most tasks related to your WordPress website can be managed directly through the WordPress Admin dashboard.
There are many SFTP programs available for both Windows and Mac operating systems. For Windows, we recommend WinSCP, and for Mac, we suggest Transmit.
Yes. Accessing SSH through Google Cloud Platform is straightforward and gives you full control over your server. With a few simple steps, you can securely manage your VM Instance directly from your Google Cloud Console. Our setup ensures you have the correct permissions, and we guide you through best practices to safeguard your server.
